What it can't hold
Exact thread colours. Only the Brother chart slot is stored, and the design name is cut to 8 characters.
What to watch for
Most people want PES rather than PEC, unless a specific tool asks for PEC.
Best for
Tools that ask for PEC by name. Otherwise choose PES.
